Ted Rogers Undergraduate Sales Team crowned champs at U.S. sales competition
Congratulations to the Ted Rogers Undergraduate Sales Team (TRUST) for being named the Top Overall University Champion at the inaugural Stetson Collegiate Sales Management Invitational (CSMI) (external link, opens in new window) .
The competition, which took place October 22-24 in Florida, featured ten participating schools challenging students to apply real-world sales and leadership skills through case studies and role-play scenarios. The team from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), made up of Ted Rogers School of Management students Raphael Peralta and Ben Grahame, was the only Canadian school taking part in the event.
The CSMI included five competition rounds, which provided a realistic assessment of the core competencies required for success in a sales management role, including leadership, talent acquisition, coaching, strategic thinking and team development.
Both Peralta and Grahame performed exceptionally well at the event, with Grahame advancing to the Final Four. Together, their outstanding performances helped TMU be crowned the Top Overall University Champion.
“Raphael, one of our Ted Rogers Undergraduate Sales Team team captains, and Ben, one of our outstanding student leaders, have worked incredibly hard to develop their sales skills,” says Dr. Karen Peesker, Founding Director of Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program and TRUST Coach. “This is a wonderful achievement for both students, and another terrific example of the strength of our sales education program at Ted Rogers School.”
This is just one of the TRUST team’s many victories in recent years. Last year, the team finished first at the Canadian University Sales competition, and in 2025, it was the first-ever Canadian University to win the World Cup of Sales against 81 universities at the International Collegiate Sales Competition (ICSC).
