Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program earns Full Membership in University Sales Center Alliance
The Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program (TRSLP) at Toronto Metropolitan University has achieved a major milestone: it has been awarded Full Membership status by the University Sales Center Alliance (USCA), making it the first and only Canadian university to receive this prestigious accreditation.
The award was presented to Dr. Karen Peesker, Founding Director of TRSLP, by Dr. Andrew Loring, President of USCA, in recognition of the program’s excellence in advancing sales education and preparing students for leadership roles in the global sales profession.
TRSLP previously held Associate Member status with USCA, and this elevation to Full Membership reflects the program’s continued growth, impact and alignment with the alliance’s rigorous standards in teaching, research, experiential learning and industry outreach.
“This recognition and accreditation success reflects the dedication of our students, alumni, faculty and industry partners, and celebrates our growing legacy in Canadian university sales leadership education,” said Dr. Peesker. “I’m deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this achievement possible.”
The USCA is a highly respected alliance of top-tier university sales programs globally, including Baylor University, James Madison University, University of Texas - Dallas, Texas A&M University, Kennesaw State University, Florida State University and HAN University of Applied Sciences. Full Membership is reserved for programs that demonstrate sustained excellence and leadership in the field of sales education.
Dr. Brian Segal, Chair of the Ted Rogers Leadership Centre and Co-founder of TRSLP, emphasized the significance of this achievement. “We are delighted that our Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program, driven by the incredible leadership of Dr. Karen Peesker, has become the first in Canada to receive full accredited membership in the University Sales Center Alliance,” he said. “This prestigious recognition highlights the program’s excellence in advancing professional sales education and its leadership in shaping the next generation of sales talent.”
This recognition underscores TRSLP’s growing international relevance and its commitment to bridging academic theory with practical industry application. It validates the hard work of faculty, staff and students, and strengthens the program’s ability to deliver high-impact learning experiences that prepare graduates for careers in sales leadership.
The program’s success is made possible by the unwavering support of its partners, including our platinum sponsors Rogers, RBC, FedEx, Owner.com and Insight Global, and our silver sponsors Softchoice, Fidelity, Salesforce, Cintas, TEKsystems and Lumina Learning. Their contributions empower students to gain real-world experience, sharpen their skills and build the confidence needed to lead in the global sales profession.
Dr. Cynthia Holmes, Dean of the Ted Rogers School, added, “This achievement reflects our school’s commitment to innovation and excellence in business education. The Sales Leadership Program’s elevation to Full Membership in the USCA not only strengthens our international reputation, but also reinforces our dedication to preparing students for leadership in a rapidly evolving global economy.”
