Dr. Patrick Neumann

Dr. W. Patrick Neumann is a Full Professor in the Industrial Engineering group at Toronto Metropolitan University where he is Director of the Human Factors Engineering Lab. He is a design scientist, a certified Human Factors Professional (Eur. Erg.), an adjunct faculty member at the University of Waterloo, and co-leads the “Better Work Better Care Coalition”.  His research focuses on the design of healthcare systems that create high quality workplaces for staff while providing excellent care for patients. Dr. Neumann’s work has been recognized internationally with “Best paper” awards in the biomedical, engineering, and ergonomics literatures.
