Academic Skill Building

Math Support

Individual drop-in tutoring, course-specific group tutoring, and facilitated study groups are designed to improve your math skills and support your success in math-related courses across all faculties.

Tutor Match

TMU Tutor Match is a tool designed to help qualified students find paid work as tutors and to help students who would like additional, individualized, and course specific support find and hire tutors.

Writing Support

Writing Support offers individual writing consultations, workshops, writing groups, and online resources to help you improve your academic writing skills.

Academic Edge

Join a community of first-year students to build on your academic skills and experiences, find university resources uniquely useful to you, develop critical learning strategies and study skills, and set yourself up for academic success!

If you are a multilingual student and want to improve your English language skills, you can participate in individual and group sessions and access classroom instruction to help improve your writing, speaking and listening, oral presentation, and reading skills.
