Picoplanktonics: Partners, is focused around TMU's student's involvement and experiences in the realization of the Picoplanktonics project and aims to educate the DAS community who didn't have a chance to travel to the biennale about its interdisciplinary process and future-thinking nature. We will display posters explaining the design, fabrication, installation and maintenance phases of the Biennale Project. We will include drafted work by our students that made the project possible, insights and reflections of TMU students' perspectives who had an opportunity to build and visit the project at the Canada Pavilion during the 2025 Venice Biennale through recorded interviews, posters and photos. Short video clips edited by our team will be projected onto the walls. We will exhibit material samples that were used for lattice testing and production at ETH Zurich's Robotic Fabrication Lab, these samples are abiotic replicas (3D printed sand lattices) of the ones that were displayed at the Venice Biennale. We will also display some of the common equipment that was used for the production and maintenance phases of the project. We'll have a 1:50 model of the Canada Pavilion. A 1:10 scale model of the Picoplanktonic structures exhibited at the Biennale. And a partial 1:1 scale model of the short structure will be suspended to provide a scale comparison of the real structures exhibited in the Canada Pavilion.
