December 02, 2024
DAS research team has unveiled Equitable Waterfront, a roadmap for inclusivity and well-being in the built environment. As part of the SSHRC-supported Quality in Canada's Built Environment partnership, this initiative redefines design excellence by prioritizing accessibility, equity, and public engagement. Focused on Toronto’s waterfront, the study analyzes award-winning housing projects, explores health and accessibility in public spaces, and evaluates engagement strategies with marginalized communities, aiming to create a more inclusive urban experience for all.
