Dr. Naimul Khan

Dr. Naimul Khan is an Associate Professor of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at TMU, cross-appointed at the Creative School, and Director of the Multimedia Research Laboratory. His interdisciplinary research focuses on AI, medical imaging, physiological signal processing, and immersive technologies for health, accessibility, and human-computer interaction. He leads projects integrating multimodal data (like EEG and video) with machine learning to create personalized systems for computer-aided diagnosis, emotion recognition and digital mental health, including therapeutic VR. Dr. Khan collaborates widely with hospitals and industry and actively trains future researchers through graduate supervision and major funding programs.
