Dr. Karen Soldatic
Karen Soldatic is the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Health Equity and Community Wellbeing and a leading international scholar of disability, marginality and global inequality. She brings extensive expertise in collaborating with Disability, Racially and Culturally Marginalised, Indigenous, Queer, Young People, and Low Socio-Economic communities who have experienced poor sexual health outcomes due to intensive social, emotional, cultural and economic inequality and violence in settler colonial and post-colonial contexts. She has extensive expertise in disability digital inclusive research methods, leading large national and international teams on digital inclusive research engagement and design, including AI powered technologies. She has collaborated with governmental and non-governmental organizations, highlighting her expertise in translating research findings into actionable policy recommendations, service delivery and practice.
