Dr. Darius Rackus

DepartmentDepartment of Chemistry and Biology, Toronto Metropolitan University

Rackus leads the Miniaturization in Bioanalysis Laboratory, at TMU. His research focuses on the development of microscale analytical systems for human health by integrating electrochemical sensors with microfluidic platforms. Prior to joining TMU, he completed his PhD from the University of Toronto where he focused on the advancement of digital microfluidic platforms for point-of-care applications. After a short postdoc in the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto, Rackus conducted postdoctoral work at ETH Zurich as a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow, where he developed microfluidic platforms to study bacterial responses to antibiotics.
