Seven researchers from across Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) recently received funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) Connections Grants program to support research-related events and outreach activities. The researchers’ project themes range from equity in education to innovation in architecture and focus on sharing knowledge and facilitating discussions among researchers, students and community members.

The Connections Grants program supports events such as workshops, conferences and summer institutes that foster scholarly exchanges between academic researchers and industry practitioners locally and abroad.

“Congratulations to these researchers on their funding success,” said Steven N. Liss, Toronto Metropolitan University’s vice-president, research and innovation. “Through their knowledge mobilization work, they are driving vital conversations and deepening our understanding of the critical societal issues of today.”
