Counselling support for students

Sign that reads "you got this"

When you first contact the Centre for Student Development and Counselling, you will start with a quick-access initial counselling appointment, called a Care Planning Appointment. At this appointment, you will meet one-on-one with a professional counsellor who will provide immediate support, help you to explore and understand your concerns, and work with you to make a plan for coping and next steps.

The CSDC and Toronto Metropolitan University offer various types of care, referrals, and resources for you in developing your personalized support plan. There are several options and opportunities available to you, including individual counselling, group counselling, peer-to-peer support, connecting to other university resources, referrals to off-campus mental health supports, and more.
