Real-world working experience leads back to Ryerson
Justin Prajza, Math - Computer Science Co-op ‘17 had always shown an entrepreneurial spirit from an early age. By the time he came to Ryerson, he’d already founded his own landscaping business. So, co-op was a natural choice for the Computer Science and Mathematics double concentration.
During his program, Justin took full advantage of the career resources available to undergraduates. “I spent a lot of time at Ryerson’s Co-Op Office,” he says. “The coaching and seminars are fantastic.”
He credits the support he received with helping him land his first co-op interview at Rogers. Hot on the heels of his work there as a Data Migration Coordinator/Business Analyst, Justin scored his next placement working on database analytics at Deloitte.
Even after graduation, the support continued. “One of my professors then offered to help me find a job,” he relates. As a proud Alumni, Justin returned to Ryerson, this time as a full-stack developer for the DMZ, the #1 university-based business incubator in the world.
“It’s an amazing job in an incredibly exciting environment,” Justin concludes.
