Talking About Timber

Join Lina Lahiri for a critical exploration of Sauerbruch Hutton (external link) ’s twenty-year engagement with timber as a primary architectural material. This lecture will highlight key projects and discuss how timber has shaped the studio’s design methodologies, structural innovations, and environmental strategies. Emphasizing the cultural significance and contemporary relevance of timber, the talk will connect Sauerbruch Hutton’s work to a broader conversation about sustainable construction and design lead by construction methods.
