PhD Graduate Javeriya Hasan Wins FEAS Fall 2024 Gold Medal for Academic and Community Excellence

Javeriya Hasan, a PhD graduate in building science from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), has been awarded the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) Fall 2024 Gold Medal for her exceptional academic achievements, including a perfect CGPA of 4.33 and six first-authored journal publications. Known for her leadership and mentorship, Hasan contributed to organizations such as the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants and Women in Engineering while serving as co-chair of the Sustainable Buildings Network at TMU.

Her research and dedication to community initiatives have inspired peers and faculty alike. Reflecting on her journey, Hasan emphasized the importance of perseverance, community involvement, and promoting women in STEM.
