Candidates are invited to submit applications for a full-time tenure-stream position in architectural design and theory to the Department of Architectural Science in the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science at Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate excellence in architectural design and contemporary architectural theory
- Provide expertise in one or more of the following areas: urban design, the tectonic nature of buildings, and/or digital design
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate design studio, lecture and/or seminar courses
- Supervise graduate thesis students; to undertake scholarly, research, and/or creative activities
- Engage in service to the Department, the University and the community.
Qualifications
- A professional degree in architecture (M.Arch or equivalent)
OR
- An undergraduate professional degree in architecture with an additional degree at the graduate level
- An advanced degree beyond these minimum requirements will be preferred
- A demonstrated commitment to uphold the values of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion as it pertains to service, teaching, research or creative activities
Experience in architectural practice is required, and professional licensure in the candidate’s home jurisdiction is preferred.
