You’re invited to the Urban Farm Spring Kick-Off on May 11
To: Departmental administrators and Urban Farm partners
The Ryerson* Urban Farm is excited to welcome students up to the rooftop farm and ring in the season at our Spring Kick-Off!
On May 11, students are invited to join the Urban Farm team for an afternoon of farm tours, activities, games and opportunities to learn about our programming for the spring/summer 2022 growing season.
If you’re a departmental administrator, we ask that you please share this email with students enrolled in your department.
What to expect
Our Spring Kick-Off will include a guided tour of the ENG rooftop farm, allowing students to learn about our day-to-day operations and exciting new initiatives like our Indigenous Foodways and Harvest Collective and Learning Circle (Black Food Sovereignty) programs.
This event will also include a meet ‘n’ greet and networking portion where you’ll meet and compete against Urban Farm staff and other students in a fun pollinator game! Participants will receive wildflower seed bombs you can plant at home or $5 vouchers that can be used to buy fresh Urban Farm produce at our stand at the weekly Ryerson Market!
