Hi, I'm Michelle (she/her) and I'm a Peer Support Specialist. I have a background in child and youth work and have supported young people and families within Toronto's downtown-east for 5+ years. I've enjoyed working in high schools, communities, and now a post-secondary institution!
In my free time, I love to run and read. I enjoy reading thrillers and my running goal is to qualify for the Boston marathon!
Hey, I'm Simran; Peer Support Specialist for Health Promotion Programs at TMU. I bring a deep passion for supporting holistic wellbeing for everyone. As a proud graduate of TMU’s nursing program, I have guided thousands of students in accessing resources tailored to their individual needs, always with care, empathy, and compassion. I am passionate about enhancing peer support programming and ensuring it continues to meet the evolving needs of students. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors and connecting with nature.
The Care Pathway Specialist, backed by a solid foundation in social work, holding both BSW and MSW degrees. My experience includes crisis management, case management, program development, and mental health support. I have worked at Covenant House, York University's counseling department, Queen's University, and have spent the past two years working at TMU within housing and residence life. In my personal time, I love to read, play basketball, and find all the best halal restaurants in Toronto.
Priyanka Sahajpal (she/her) is the Manager of Peer Support & Health Promotion Programs. She oversees peer support and health promotion initiatives that promote student wellbeing, connection, and belonging. Her work focuses on developing preventative, accessible, and early-intervention programming that equips students with practical tools to support their mental health and overall wellbeing
Hey there! My name is Cass (she/her)! I'm a psychology and disability studies. Before coming to TMU I studied video-game development and worked in marketing. I love learning about different peoples' experiences and gaining new insight about other perspectives. You can talk to me about anything! I enjoy camping, doing crafts, reading, and playing video-games.
Hi! My name is Maham (she/her) and I’m a fourth year Public Health student. I hope to create a safe and comfortable space to support students struggling with their mental health. I’ve been there, so don’t hesitate to reach out:) I enjoy playing video games, walking around the city, and nerding out!
