Biography

Chris Erl (he/him) is a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Politics and Public Administration. Chris holds a PhD in Geography from McGill University in Montreal, a Master of Planning (MPl) in Urban Development from Ryerson University in Toronto, and both a Master of Arts (MA) in Labour Studies and Honours Bachelor of Arts (Hon. BA) in History and Political Science from McMaster University in Hamilton. Chris has taught classes on political geography, urban geography, and municipal government at both McGill University and McMaster University. His research interests include municipal politics, candidate diversity, queer politics and geographies, populism, and modern Canadian history.
