Lincoln Alexander School of Law ranks second in Canada for research quality
The Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University has been ranked second in Canada for research quality in 2026, and among the top 250 law programs globally. This recognition from Times Higher Education (external link) is particularly notable as Lincoln Alexander Law launched in 2020.
“While rankings are never the sole or best measure of what makes a law school exceptional, this recognition is nonetheless significant. It reflects the ambition, rigor, creativity, excellence, and collective impact of our community,” said Dean Donna E. Young.
Lincoln Alexander Law's research spans a wide range of areas, engaging pressing legal, social, and technological challenges and driving meaningful public dialogue and impact. Beyond research, the law school is distinguished by its commitment to forward-looking academic programming, experiential learning, and mentorship. This recognition highlights the collective efforts of the faculty, staff, students, and alumni in shaping a model of education that advances excellence in law while fostering inclusion, innovation, and intellectual exchange.
