Morning Registration

 Time: 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.

 Location: 2nd Floor, DCC 

Registration

All attendees and presenters are asked to please visit the registration tables upon arrival at the conference. Attendees will receive a digital ticket over email in the days leading up to the conference, and will be asked to display these for scanning at the registration table. Name tags and printed programs will be available as part of the registration process. 

Attendees are encouraged to return to the registraition table throughout the course of the conference for support with any questions or concerns. 

Poster & Service Spotlight drop offs

Poster and Service Spotlight presenters will be provided with an area close to the registration tables where they can drop off (and pick up) any presentation materials for the course of the day. 

Breakfast

A light breakfast buffet will be provided from 8:30 - 9:30am on the 2nd floor of the DCC building, next to the registration area. 

Reception Chats activity

Conference attendees and emerging scholars are encouraged to start off the day by joining lightly facilitated discussion at the Reception Chats activity, located just past the registration area from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Pick up some breakfast and then join the discussion at tables themed around specific prompts, with a focus on the experiences of new faculty at TMU. Prompts include:  

  • What are we overlooking in our conversations about the future of academia as a new generation of faculty coming on the scene?
  • What are your greatest hopes and/or fears about interactions between Artificial Intelligence and the teaching and learning environment?
  • What do you see as the number one challenge facing racialized new faculty members currently?
