Lincoln Alexander Law hosts Delegation from the Inter-American Human Rights Commission
On December 14, 2023, the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Inter-American Human Rights Commission (IAHRC), led by President Margarette May Macaulay, for a meeting with academics from the GTA.
Representatives from the University of Toronto, York University's Osgoode Hall Law School, and the Lincoln Alexander School of Law met with delegation members to help lay the groundwork for ongoing dialogue and the potential for future joint collaborations between academic institutions and the IAHRC.
The meeting was part of an official IAHRC delegation visit to Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto from December 11-14, 2023 aimed at engaging state and non-state actors in the Inter-American Human Rights System, with a focus on Canada's academic community.
