2026 Lincoln Alexander Law Alumni Awards

We are thrilled to introduce the new Lincoln Alexander Law Alumni Awards to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our alumni who are now shaping the legal landscape across diverse fields. We invite nominations for the Lincoln Alexander Law Alumni Awards, which honour outstanding alumni whose work reflects the School’s founding pillars: Equity, Diversity & Inclusion; Access to Justice; Innovation & Entrepreneurship; and Academic Excellence.

The five award categories include:

Founding Dean Award 

This award honours Lincoln Alexander Law’s Founding Dean and celebrates an alumnus whose career has brought distinction to both the legal profession and the law school. It recognizes those who exemplify excellence through their contributions to the practice of law, academia, or the judiciary, and who reflect the values of innovation, integrity, and service that define Lincoln Alexander Law.

Community Builder Award

For alumni who have strengthened Lincoln Alexander Law’s community through mentorship, volunteer efforts, or inclusion initiatives.

Public Service & Inclusion Award

Honours alumni who've pursued careers in public legal service, equity advocacy, or systemic reform.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship Award

This award recognizes a Lincoln Alexander Law graduate who has demonstrated outstanding innovation, forward-thinking, and entrepreneurial spirit in their career.

Health & Wellness Award

This award celebrates a graduate who has made meaningful contributions to advancing health, wellness, and mental well-being within the legal community or broader community. Through advocacy, leadership, or innovation, the recipient demonstrates that wellness, in all its forms, is essential to justice, inspiring others to lead with balance, empathy, and integrity.

How to submit a nomination

Nominations may be submitted by alumni, students, and members of both the internal and external community. Self-nominations will not be accepted:

  1. Complete the  (google form) Google Form (external link)  and provide the following additional documents in the submission:
    1. nomination letter (at least 500 words and not more than 1,000 words) that describes how the nominee meets the criteria of the selected award.
    2. additional documents, such as a Curriculum Vitae and up to two (2) letters of support, may be included.
  2.  Submit the Google Form with a nomination letter and additional documentation by Friday, December 12, 2025 at 5 p.m.
  3. Winners are determined and notified by mid-December and announced publicly in January 2026.
  4. The selection is made by an awards selection committee composed of Lincoln Alexander Law alumni, staff and one student representative.

Deadline for nominations: Friday, December 12, 2025 at 5 p.m.
