Pedro Naves Vasconcelos
Research Fellow
Dr. Pedro Vasconcelos is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Urban Energy (CUE). He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI), Brazil, in 2025. He joined CUE in 2022 as a visiting research student and has since been involved in academic and industry-driven research projects, including collaborations with Hydro One. His current work focuses on a microgrid R&D project to improve the reliability and resilience of modern power distribution systems using CUE-developed hardware and software solutions.
His research interests include power systems analysis and operation, microgrids, and engineering education. Dr. Vasconcelos is a member of IEEE and Cigré.
