Biography

Jaylin Evans is an events professional and creative innovator whose work is grounded in human connection and experience design. With a background in communications and event production, she creates meaningful experiences that blend creativity, strategy, and storytelling.

Inspired by the cultural and creative sectors in Toronto and beyond, Jaylin’s practice is shaped by her passion of travel, cultural exploration, and global storytelling. Through the Master of Digital Media program at TMU, Jaylin is expanding her practice into AI app creation and digital innovation, exploring AI technology not as a replacement for human connection, but as a way to support and enhance it. She is driven by a vision of building creative platforms and experiences that are emotionally intelligent, globally relevant, and rooted in meaningful connection.

Why Digital Media?

The MDM program gives me the space to build on my existing creative identity while expanding how I think through a technological innovation lens. Coming from a background in events and planning, I wanted a program that would challenge me to grow beyond traditional creative practice and develop new ways of working across disciplines. MDM supports my growth as a creative professional who can move fluidly between culture, communication, design, and innovation, while preparing me to contribute to the evolving future of the creative sector.
