Biography

Kautuk completed his Bachelor's in Mass Media with a specialization in Advertising and a Master's of Arts in Media & Advertising from Mumbai University. Between the two, he also completed a graduate program in Digital Marketing from The Indian Institute of Digital Marketing where he developed his deep interest and passion for internet marketing. From IIDE, Kautuk was then recruited at Kinnect (part of the FCB group under IPG network) as a part of their business team and he continued to work for 5 years. Over the 5 years, Kautuk has also been a part-time educator at a digital marketing institute imparting all the knowledge from the industry to the young digital media enthusiasts. His research paper for the previous master’s program was a study on the contribution and impact of digital marketing in integrated advertising approaches in India.

As a Full-Stack Digital Marketer and a part-time Educator, Kautuk possesses interdisciplinary skills and a strong passion for internet marketing. He truly owns the heart of a marketer, the brain of a businessman and the eyes of a designer.

Why Digital Media?

Kautuk believes that the meta of digital is rapidly shifting from social media to these new-age digital technologies and that's what brings him to MDM to learn and grow within the larger digital media space. He also wants to further understand how brands could leverage these newer technologies and reach their potential consumers in a much more inclusive digital environment.

Major Research Paper

“Metaverse” – a place that is envisioned to be a shared virtual environment where we may live fulfilling lives, interact with others, work, access, and produce content on the merit of digital avatars. This MRP explores different aspects related to the business potential of the new-age digital world and how brands use the same to sell or promote a greater brand-driven story eventually to sell their products or services. Through this research, we also understand the functioning of marketing for brands between offline and virtual worlds, seamless brand integrations for better brand recall and loyalty along with audience engagement and tracking indicators.
