Admitted to TRSM with co-op?
You are a Direct Co-op Admission Student! No further application is needed, and you can start completing your Co-op Prep Program requirements before your 1st co-op work term.
Admitted to TRSM without co-op?
Full-time undergraduate TRSM students have one additional window to apply* based on their major.
- Students in the following majors apply at the end of 1st year:
- Accounting
- Business Technology Management
- Finance
- Health Services Management**
- Hospitality & Tourism Management and;
- Retail Management
- Students in the following majors apply at the end of 2nd year
- Economics & Management Science
- Entrepreneurship & Innovation
- Global Management Studies
- Human Resources Management
- Law & Business
- Marketing Management and;
- Real Estate Management
*The co-op portal typically opens for applications from mid-February to June 1, annually.
**Launching in Fall 2026 and will be available to students beginning their studies at that time.
Part-time undergraduate students:
The co-op option is not available for part-time first-year entry students (all majors).
As each situation is different depending on your transfer term and transferable courses, please follow the below steps to ensure you know when to apply for the co-op program:
- Book an appointment with your Student Advisor to confirm what year you are in academically.
- Book an appointment with a Career Coordinator to confirm when to apply based on your academic year and unique course schedule.
Direct Entry is a post-secondary degree pathway from college to university which recognizes the completion of a specific College diploma; credits earned in specific programs at an Ontario College are applied towards direct entry or advanced standing at Toronto Metropolitan University.
You can apply directly on the OUAC if you are applying in one of the following majors:
- Global Management Studies
- Human Resources Management
- Law & Business
- Marketing Management and;
- Real Estate Management
If you do not apply or not accepted into co-op via OUAC, there is not another opportunity to apply as a current student once you begin at TRSM.
*Note: The co-op option is not available for Full-time Direct Entry students majoring in Economics and Management Science or Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Part-time Direct Entry students:
The co-op option is not available for part-time Direct Entry students (all majors).
How do I know if I'm a TMUIC student?
Toronto Metropolitan University International College (TMUIC) (external link, opens in new window) offers undergraduate pathways to Toronto Metropolitan University. As a TMUIC transfer student, your application to the co-op program depends on your major and admission term to TRSM.
Majors eligible to apply to the co-op program from TMUIC:
- Economics & Management Science
- Entrepreneurship & Innovation
- Global Management Studies
- Human Resources Management
- Law & Business
- Marketing Management and;
- Real Estate Management
Next steps to apply to the program:
To join the Ted Rogers Co-op Program, you must be on track academically, meaning not too far ahead or behind on courses. Upon your entry to TRSM, ensure you are on track by:
- Book an appointment with your Student Advisor to course plan effectively
- Book an appointment with a Career Coordinator to confirm the deadline of your co-op application based on your admit term and to gain support for your application

Ensure your academic standing meets the requirements for your program and that you are, or will be on track academically by your first work term (more details on this can be found below and in the Co-op Application Guide (external link, opens in new window) ).
Academic standing and expected CGPA:
- School of Accounting & Finance (SAF): 3.0
- All other Programs: 2.8
Course completion*:
- Business Management - Global Managent Studies students: a minimum of a B+ grade in GMS 400
- You must be able to provide evidence on your co-op application that you are, or will be on track academically by the time your first work term begins
- *If you have an Academic Accommodation through Academic Accommodation Support (AAS), please follow your unique course plan

Deadline for Fall 2025 SMART Goals and Employer Evaluation: December 8, 2025, 4:59 p.m. EDT
As a Ted Rogers Co-op Student, you are required to complete the Co-op Prep Program before your 1st work term - we email you every two weeks if you still have outstanding requirements!
Once you have access to the co-op portal, you can:
- Search and apply to jobs
- Access forms including sequence change, course on a work term, and employer eligibility forms
- Review your learning outcomes guidelines
- And more!
