Toronto program overview

We continue to run our Technovation Girls Toronto program in a hybrid format this season. Some sessions will run virtually to go over curriculum content, and some sessions will be on the Toronto Metropolitan University campus (formerly Ryerson) to allow teams to work together. Check our Toronto schedule page for topics, dates and session formats.

Our chapter supports girls in the greater Toronto area. We currently focus on the curriculum for the junior and senior divisions. Our weekly workshops target those levels. We help girls in these divisions form teams and find mentors.

The Technovation Girls beginner division is for girls ages 8-12 and their parent/caregivers to work together to learn about app development and artificial intelligence while solving a problem that matters to them. Although our programming isn't specifically designed for beginners, we are happy to share some of our resources with these girls.

We follow the Technovation Girls curriculum (external link)  to help the girls prepare their projcts. The top teams will advance to the semi-finals to compete with other North American teams for a spot in the final global competition.
