Economics Minor
The Economics Minor enables students from programs across TMU to get a taste of what economics is all about. Students can earn the Minor with just 6 courses, up to 3 of which can also be used to satisfy Liberal Studies requirements.
Calculus Requirement
Completion of the Economics Minor requires either ECN 301: Intermediate Macroeconomics I or ECN 504: Intermediate Microeconomics I, both of which require a calculus course as a pre-requisite (namely one of the following courses: ECN 189 or QMS 130 or QMS 702 or MTH 131 or MTH 140 or MTH 207 or MTH 310). Students lacking one of these courses should consider ECN 189 which counts towards the Economics Minor (however, ECN 189 requires either ECN 109 or QMS 110 as a pre-requisite, and neither of these courses count towards the Economics Minor).
