If your cumulative GPA (CGPA) falls below 1.67, your Academic Standing will change to 'Probationary.' The Undergraduate Program Academic Standings, Consequences and Next Steps section of the Academic Standings (opens in new window)  page outlines the consequences of a Probationary standing. The Faculty of Arts - Academic Success (opens in new window)  page also has some great information on Academic Standings and resources available to students.

If your cumulative GPA (CGPA) falls below 1.00 (unless you are enrolled in your first semester), or the default grade indicated on your Probationary standing requirements, your academic standing will change to 'Required to Withdraw' (RTW). The Required to Withdraw (opens in new window)  page outlines the consequences of an RTW standing.

The Fresh Start program is part of Toronto Metropolitan University's (TMU) overall support strategy for students in academic jeopardy. Fresh Start is a two term program designed to assist students with a Required to Withdraw (RTW) (opens in new window)  Academic Standing in resuming their studies. The Fresh Start (opens in new window)  page provides more information on the Fresh Start Program.
