The transition from high school to university can be challenging. Help is available. As a Toronto Metropolitan medical physics undergraduate student, you can access resources to support both your academic and personal life.

Academic Support

First Year Science Office

Incoming students: the Faculty of Science First Year Science Office (FYSO) is your initial point of contact for academic support. Get help easing into university-level studies, adding/dropping courses, changing programs, or any other questions on making a successful transition into Toronto Metropolitan.
 

Student Learning Support

Student Learning Support provides workshops and resources on study strategies, skills development in math, writing and ESL, organizes learning groups and tutor match-ups.  

Tri-Mentoring

First-year students: get matched up with an upper year student who can ‘show you the ropes’ around life at Toronto Metropolitan. Third/fourth-year students: get matched up with an industry professional to explore career transitioning after graduation. Explore Tri-Mentoring.

Non-Academic Support

Health and Wellness

Get help to care for your health and wellness. Find support on physical and mental health, medical and financial matters, personal counseling, sexual violence, emergency crisis, and more.  

ThriveTMU

Personal and academic life is full of challenges. ThriveTMU has tools and supports to help you develop resilience, wellness and positive psychology.  

International Student Support

Studying in a new country comes with unique experiences and challenges. The university provides support for international students on matters related to immigration, permits, finances, health and more.
