Nurul Hasbi is a Learning and Development Consultant currently pursuing her MBA at the Ted Rogers School of Management. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University, where she participated in experiential learning initiatives that brought her to China and Guatemala, shaping her global perspective and commitment to purpose-driven work.

She currently works at ErinoakKids, Ontario’s largest children’s treatment centre, where she focuses on professional development, employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts for staff and the broader community. Nurul believes effective leadership requires reflection, empathy, and intentional action. Through the MBA program, she is strengthening her strategic and analytical skills to align people, purpose, and organizational impact.

Why did you decide on the Ted Rogers MBA program?

I chose the Ted Rogers MBA because of its practice-oriented curriculum that emphasizes learning applicable to real-world challenges. The program’s focus on collaboration and diverse perspectives aligns closely with my values in designing and implementing human-centred strategies that strengthen organizational culture and performance. I was drawn to an environment that encourages self-reflection, critical thinking, and meaningful dialogue, while fostering a supportive community where students learn from one another and grow together.
