Aimee Ortega Mata is a Financial Analyst at GM Financial, where she supports financial modeling, performance analytics, and strategic planning within the automotive finance space. With a background in asset-based finance and a strong interest in how technology and AI are reshaping the industry, she is continuously seeking opportunities to learn, innovate, and grow in an evolving landscape.
Aimee is deeply passionate about leadership, inclusion, and community impact. She proudly serves as Vice President of Finance for the MBA Sport and Leadership Association and Vice President of Strategy and Alliances for MBA Women in Leadership, where her collaborative, purpose-driven approach brings people together through mentorship, wellness initiatives, and community engagement. Beyond her professional and academic roles, Aimee supports future leaders through the Canadian Finance & Leasing Association (CFLA), mentors emerging professionals, volunteers with Nellie’s Shelter, and actively contributes to women’s leadership initiatives. Through advocacy and service, she is committed to uplifting others and strengthening communities nationwide.
Why did you decide on the Ted Rogers MBA program?
I chose the Ted Rogers MBA program because of its strong focus on innovation, leadership, and real-world impact in rapidly evolving industries. As the automotive finance landscape continues to be reshaped by digital transformation and AI, I wanted a program that would challenge me to think strategically, broaden my perspective beyond traditional finance, and strengthen my ability to lead through change. The program’s emphasis on collaboration, experiential learning, and diverse perspectives aligns with my career goals and commitment to continuous learning and meaningful impact.
