A Department Hiring Committee (DHC) or a School Hiring Committee (SHC) is established annually, for the recruitment and recommendation for hire of all limited-term and tenure-stream faculty.
All members of the DHC and SHC are required, under the TFA Collective Agreement, to attend a jointly delivered training session on important legal, collective agreement and policy obligations relative to the recruitment process. Any member of the DHC or SHC who has not attended this training in the last three years, is not eligible to serve on the committee until such training has been completed.
