Ways to get involved
Ways to get involved at FEAS
Share your time, talent and resources with the next generation of engineers and architects.
Alumni, employers, donors and supporters are a vital part of the FEAS community.
Whether you have five minutes or five hours to give, there's a way to make a difference for our students and our city. Hire emerging talent, mentor a student, partner on research or support the teams turning classroom ideas into real-world solutions.

Hire a FEAS co-op or internship student
FEAS students have what you need: a balance of foundational and technical knowledge, problem-solving skills and a worldly perspective informed by our emphasis on diversity-driven innovation.
Support student design teams
FEAS is home to more than 50 student groups and competitive design teams, from robotics to concrete canoe to formula racing. Partner with a team through sponsorship, equipment donation or mentorship, and help students take their ideas from the classroom to the real world.
Donate your time or resources
Our supporters shape more than our students; they shape the future of society. Every gift, whether it's funding, equipment or expertise, helps FEAS-educated engineers, architects and building science professionals go on to solve the world's most pressing challenges.
Learn about research and course-based partnerships
We help external collaborators find solutions to their challenges and develop cutting-edge innovations, while training the next generation of industry and academic researchers. By working with us, you can access expertise, equipment, and multiply your research investment.
Discover Mentorship Program
Navigating the move from undergraduate studies to the professional world can be daunting. A mentor who understands the highs and lows of that journey can turn a stressful process into a meaningful learning experience.
The Discover Mentorship Program connects alumni, friends, senior leaders and industry professionals with FEAS students in their third year and above. As a mentor, you'll help students navigate the transition from the classroom to their careers, offering guidance, encouragement and industry insight.
The program has built over 100 one-on-one relationships between mentors and students. It's a rewarding way to give back to your alma mater, and many mentors find they learn from their mentees, too.
Who can mentor
FEAS alumni, employers, industry professionals, senior leaders and friends of FEAS.
How it works
Matches meet at the program's kick-off event at the beginning of the fall semester. From October through March, mentors and mentees connect informally as they wish, and all matches gather at several program events throughout the year.
