The TMU Resilience Training Program for High School Counsellors is designed to teach the Five Factor Model of Resilience — mindfulness, gratitude, optimism, self-compassion and grit. This training equips educators with practical tools to enhance their own well-being and better support students both academically and emotionally.
Developed in partnership with Dr. Diana Brecher, Scholar-in-Residence for Positive Psychology at TMU, the program draws on the principles of positive psychology and ThriveTMU, which has been offered to TMU students, faculty and staff.
The program is free and there are no prerequisites to enrol. The training consists of five one-hour asynchronous webinars hosted on Zoom. After each session, participants will receive a recording and a corresponding quiz. A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to those who complete all quizzes by the deadline.
Registration for the TMU Training in Resilience 3.0 Program is closed.
Below are the five modules included in the upcoming training program, starting Wednesday, April 1, 2026. After each module, participants will receive a recording of the session and a corresponding quiz. A Certificate of Participation will be awarded to those who complete all quizzes by Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
