TMU's 'Women in the House' program in the Faculty of Arts is delighted to partner with and support an upcoming event hosted by the Samara Centre for Democracy.

Join us in Toronto on November 14th at 6:30 p.m. as we hear from Pulitzer & Peabody-winning journalist Connie Walker. Ms. Walker is a member of the Okanese First Nation in Saskatchewan and her work has exposed the crisis of violence in Indigenous communities and the devastating impacts of intergenerational trauma stemming from Indian Residential Schools in Canada and the U.S.. She will be in conversation with Nahlah Ayed, host of CBC Radio’s IDEAS, candidly discussing the importance of storytelling in advancing reconciliation, justice and democratic renewal.

We hope to see you there!
