The International Issues Discussion (IID) series at Toronto Metropolitan University will present its first talk of the Fall 2025 series, Remembering Air India 182: Canada's Deadliest Terrorist Attack.
Our guests will be:
Angie Seth, award winning journalist, news anchor, and storyteller, currently freelancing for CBC News and teaching journalism at Seneca College. She has worked with CTV News, Global News, CBC, and OMNI News, where she was lead anchor of South Asian News. Honoured with the Edward Murrow Award and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal, she is co-producer of the 2025 CBC documentary Two Suitcases: Anatomy of the Air India bombing.

Susheel Gupta, a Director with the RCMP and former federal prosecutor. At 12, he lost his mother in the Air India bombing and since has advocated for victims' rights as Director of the Air India Victims' Families Association. He was one of the victims family members who was instrumental in securing a Public Inquiry and has received a number of awards, including the King Charles II Coronation medal for his work supporting victims.
Their talk will be held in-person on Wednesday, September 24th between 6:30 and 8:30 pm in ENG 103 (the Vari Engineering Building, 245 Church Street, Toronto).
Attendance is free and everyone is welcome.
