Graduate Student Onboarding Sessions
To help you transition smoothly into your program, The Creative School offers a series of onboarding and welcome sessions for newly admitted graduate students.
The onboarding sessions will introduce you to how graduate programs are structured, course enrollment and academic planning, key university systems and student services, funding and research support, important policies, and strategies for thriving in graduate school. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet fellow students from across programs, connect with faculty and program administrators, ask questions, and start building your academic and creative network—helping you feel prepared, informed, and connected before your first day of classes.

All incoming graduate students are invited to attend a three-day Graduate Orientation designed to help you get started and feel connected before the term begins. Day 1 introduces key university resources and services, Day 2 focuses on important administrative processes and how to navigate the start of your program, and Day 3 offers a social event to meet fellow graduate students and build your community.
In addition to these sessions, each program will host its own program-specific orientation to introduce you to faculty, curriculum details, and expectations within your field. You will be provided more information via email closer to the start of the term.
