HTM faculty and alumni shine at the 2022 TTRA International Conference
We are thrilled that our School, the Ted Rogers School of Management and Toronto Metropolitan University were so well represented at the 2022 TTRA (Travel and Tourism Research Association) International Conference (external link, opens in new window) in Victoria, BC.
+ MSc student Natasha Francis presented a paper co-authored with Tom Griffin and Walter Jamieson
+ MSc student Michelle Novotny presented a paper co-authored with Rachel Dodds and Phil Walsh
+ Wayne W. Smith presented a paper co-authored with our Director Dr. Frederic Dimanche
+ Rachel Dodds contributed to a session on the future of cruise tourism
+ Soon to be colleague Lena Jingen Liang presented a paper
+ Alumnus Mark Holmes ('07) (now at U. of Guelph) presented a paper
+ Alumna Kelly Galaski ('01) (a sustainable tourism specialist at The Travel Foundation) presented in a session about re-defining and re-measuring the indicators of tourism success
In addition, it was a pleasure to celebrate former #HTMTorontoMet Professor Marion Joppe who won the TTRA Lifetime Achievement Award!
And saving the best to last, Prof. Rachel Dodds, alumna Michelle Novotny and TRSM Entrepreneurship Prof. Phillip Walsh won the Best Research Paper Award for their study titled "Developing a Scalable Data-Driven Decision-Making Tool for Smart Destination Management"!
