Time
12:00 PM EST - 12:00 PM EST
Open To
HTM Students

Ryerson has now transitioned to a new curriculum structure to include Open Electives. This new curriculum model provides you with broader and more flexible elective choices. For students that started before 2019, your program requirements have not changed. For students that started in 2019, you can now see the Open Elective Table on your Academic Advisement Report.

Prior to the Course Intention period, please review the Open Electives page in the 2022-23 Undergraduate Calendar - available March 4 - to understand which courses can and cannot be used to meet Open Elective requirements. It is important that you review your Academic Advisement Report prior to Course Intentions to understand how new Open Elective Curriculum will affect your course choice for Fall 2022 and Winter 2023.

TRSM Advising will be hosting a one-hour seminar daily from March 7-11 on how the new Open Elective Curriculum structure will affect the Course Intentions process and to answer your questions.

Some of the topics to be discussed:

Why are Course Intentions important?

What are Open Electives?

When do I complete Course Intentions?

How do I complete Course Intentions?

Why is the Academic Advisement Report important?
