The EduCare Initiative

Desciption:

A one-of-a-kind, innovative 3-hour training developed in partnership with Youth in Care Canada to promote positive graduation outcomes for young people in and from care. Designed and facilitated by young people with child welfare lived experience, the program includes: trauma-informed approaches in school settings (and beyond), intersectionality and the overrepresentation of Black, Indigenous, LGBTQ2A+ and disabled young people in and from care, family privilege and the experience of being "in care", and the significance of a relational approach.
