Psych Science Speaker: Dr. Jordan Leitner

On May 11th from 12-1pm, Dr. Jordan Leitner, User Experience Researcher at Facebook, will be joining us (virtually) to speak about his experiences in both academia and industry. This event will take place in SBB 238.

Jordan B Leitner received his PhD from the University of Delaware, and then completed a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship at Berkeley. He was very productive during this time, with numerous publications and acquiring diverse methodological skills. Though he was on the academic job market, he ultimately decided to accept a position at Facebook at a User Experience Researcher, and has now been there for about 1 year. He has positive and informed views of both academia and industry options, but can uniquely speak to what skills industry might be most interested in regarding people coming out of psychology PhD programs.
