Biography

Omar is always looking for something to do. With many hobbies and passions, he is always striving to improve his knowledge and skills in as many fields as possible. Right now, he is on the path to become a game designer, with experience in 3d modelling, story telling, and programming, he has what he needs to succeed. Outside of this goal, he is very active and always looking to try new sports and activities. He is very competitive which he shows in everything he participates in (though it is always in good spirit). If you ever see him, don't be afraid to talk to him about anything, he will likely love the conversation, even if his face is telling a different story.

Why Digital Media?

I came into this program looking to expand my network and take meaningful steps towards becoming a game developer. I always had a passion for games since as long as I can remember and the experience I have making them is all the more better. I have a good amount of experience in videography and story-telling, with these skills, it made sense to pursue this career path further and the Digital Media Masters seemed like a solid step in this direction. Besides that, I have always valued education and developing ones knowledge. I see digital media to be a relevant, important topic that deserves to be understood, and the more I engage with it, the more I see this to be true. Digital media isn't going anywhere, it is only going to grow larger and become more ubiquitous in our world; getting involved with it sooner rather than later is the most sensible thing to do as it will open many doors down the line.
