Biography

Stella started her journey in creative media with a passion for storytelling and interactive media. She gained knowledge of film production and narrative skills through the lessons of cinematography and documentary. While studying interdisciplinary art and new media, she was impressed by how technology changes the relationship between the creator, artwork, and the audience. It fostered her interest in embracing technology in her work.

She dedicated herself to multimedia production after graduation and participated in video production, e-learning design, website design, and UIUX design. She focused on enhancing user engagement with multimedia content creation and building better digital experiences for users with interactive objects. Now, she continues working on human-centered and interaction design with enthusiasm.

Why Digital Media?

I'm curious about how users’ experiences are created and shaped in today’s digital media industry through technology. It leads me to pursue a further study in the MDM program to expand my experience in interactive media and digital media entrepreneurship. I hope to look beyond technology and bring innovative solutions to users and real-world problems.

Major Research Paper

The main goal of this research is to understand how virtual reality (VR) technologies can be used to present tangible and intangible heritages, and enable a deeper understanding of history, culture, and the human experience of inhabiting the space. Through developing a VR application for a hypothetical cultural heritage exhibition about Kowloon Walled City, a lost historical site in Hong Kong, it intends to explore advantages and challenges of adopting VR in cultural heritage and museums.
