Biography:

I come from a background in theater. As a performer my whole life, I've always loved the art of live performance. Once I realized I didn't want to be in front of the audience, I decided to move myself behind the scenes into communications and film studies. Once I completed my undergrad, I found I had so many things I wanted to do (journalism, film production, live performance) and I decided the factor that ties all those passions together is writing. I made the move to Toronto and decided to take up script writing as a post graduate certificate. At Humber, I found a passion for not only writing but the collaboration of production. After Humber, I got a full time position working at a talent agency, and got amazing insight into the landscape of Canadian media production. Through this research, I realized digital was the way to go. It can combine my love of interacting with audiences, writing, and producing all together.

Why Digital Media?

The Canadian Film and Television industry is in the process of a huge shift from traditional broadcast content to digital, whether in completely digital programming or digital add-ons to existing content. I want to explore the changes in the market and be able to create content that can thrive with old and new audiences alike to engage people in what they are watching. Entertainment should be interactive with the audience instead of numbing. I want to create digital experiences through media production to give audiences a whole new experience with television and film.
