Beatriz Juarez

Beatriz is a creative who launched her career as an Art Director for fashion magazines in Mexico City. Over her 32-year career—including more than a decade as the Art Director of ELLE Canada—she has investigated the complex relationships between media, consumer behaviour, the female gaze, and the commodification of the body. For the past 12 years, Beatriz has evolved a multidisciplinary, conceptual practice spanning photography, abstract illustration, collage, and textile arts. Her work examines how niche consumer ecosystems interpret images, exploring the systemic implications of media on visual culture.
