Amanda Rataj

Amanda Rataj is a multidisciplinary textile designer, craft artist, and educator in Ontario, Canada. Her weaving practice uses pattern and materiality to answer questions about craft and making, frequently touching on ideas such as craft heritage, place, and material sustainability. She has developed her practice through research-based projects, artist residencies, professional exhibitions, and lectures, and has exhibited at the Textile Museum of Canada, Art Gallery of Burlington, and Craft Ontario.
