Biography

Alex has been teaching at TMU since 2014. She teaches in both Fashion and Creative Industries and has previous worked in the Graphic Design faculty at OCAD University.

She holds a BA in Visual Studies from the University of Guelph, a Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Fashion from Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Master of Design from OCAD University. A multidisciplinary designer, Alex has worked with major brands including L’Oréal Paris, Dior, Chanel, and Nike. She worked as a Designer and later as Creative Operations Manager for Hudson's Bay and HBC Digital's international design team. Her creative practice spans fashion and children’s book illustration, graphic and digital design, and live event work, incorporating both new media and analog forms.
