Emerging Undergraduate Researcher

Hayden is a writer and journalist who is entering his fourth year of Toronto Met University’s Professional Communication (BA) program. With interests in long-form journalism, sports marketing, and political communications, he was awarded the Jacqueline Atkins Scholarship for Excellence in Professional Writing in his first year and was named to The Creative School’s Dean’s List.

Born and raised in Toronto, Hayden hopes to pursue graduate degrees in journalism and law, eventually focusing on rhetoric, storytelling, and issues of intellectual property in the digital age. In the first half of his undergraduate degree, he has completed courses in multimedia journalism, digital discourse, public relations, and media theory.
