Student Life & Learning Support (SLLS) is committed to offering programming and resources for Black-identifying students (Black students) at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU).

Our goal is to help foster community, identity, and a sense of belonging to campus and to assist in navigating the various systems at TMU.

The Tri-Mentoring Program's (TMP) Black student events are taking a break until August 2024.

Campus-Wide Resources

 Black Students Lounge

The Black Student Lounge (BSL) at TMU is a welcoming space for Black students, offering opportunities for studying, relaxation, and community building. The space is open to both Black students and Black faculty/staff at TMU.

 Black Excellence Committee

Black Excellence celebrates the power of the Black community at TMU. They aim to connect Black students, teachers and staff and help redefine what community means at our university.

 Black Initiatives Fund (BIF)

The BIF helps our university's Black students organize events, meetings, and info sessions that focus on supporting and centering them.

Eligible students can receive up to $5,000 in funding.
